Idol Chatter: Week 1
Tuesday night marked what I call the beginning of American Idol, AKA the Vocal Visual Melting Pot. The contestants this year are all diverse and I love it. It began with performances by the men and was followed last night by the women, who seemed to have the edge this round. I’m just going to list the performers and their songs in order with a few comments thrown in. At the end, I will give my top and bottom 3 for each group. Please keep in mind, I am not expert. I’m just a chick who loves AI and likes sharing her opinions.

So those are the contestants and the songs they Tuesday and Wednesday night. The results show will air tonight on FOX. I won't be tuning in (sorry FOX but The Office is on and I heart NBC Thursdays.) But here are the top 3 and bottom 3 from each set if I ran things.

Top 3 Women: Stephanie, Melinda and LaKisha (sistuhs are runnin' thangs)

So the results have come out and I was 2 for 4. Not bad. Straight from AmericanIdol.com: Tonight, we bid adieu to Paul Kim, Amy Krebs, Nicole Tranquillo, and Rudy Cardenas.

WWFS,
LOL!!! You are a complete nut, but I love it. You must know my disdain for the show and many other "reality" television, so naturally, I don't know who these people are. I can say that American Idol is the only thing that gets my family to sit down, shut up, and watch the tele like normal human beings. That being said, I hope it airs forever. As for "The Office", I wish it aired every friggin day.
I'm sure your predictions were dead on. You have more musical talent than the judges... especially Paula. (The "sistuhs" remark had me cracking up.)
